การใช้ Can
Can แปลว่า สามารถ มีความหมายเช่นเดียวกับ To be able to
1. ใช้แสดงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นเป็นปัจจุบัน หรือ อนาคต ใช้ในรูปประโยค Simple present
tense เช่น
They boy can read cartoon books.
You can swim in the river.
I can see you next week.
We can marry next month.
2. ในเชิงการชักชวน เสนอแนะ แนะนำ หรือ การอนุญาต เช่น
Can I go out ?
What can I do for you ?
“You can leave at 3.30.” Miss Susan’s instructor said.
3. Could เป็นรูปอดีตของ Can ใช้กับรูปประโยค Simple past tense เช่น
I could buy a car last year.
They could see the tiger without making a noise.
Hw could go home before.
Could ยังสามารถใช้ในเชิงการเสนอแนะ แนะนำหรือการอนุญาตได้เช่นเดียวกับ Can
แต่ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นอดีต หรือการกล่าวถึงอดีต นั่นคือรูปประโยค Simple past
tense.
