การเปลี่ยน  Past continuous tense ให้อยู่ในรูปประโยคคำถาม

1.  คำถามแบบ  Yes – No question  เช่น

EXERCISE 1

Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs given.

1. My mother was cooking when I ………………………… up this morning. (get)
2. They were not playing but they ………………………… . (work)
3. She ………………………… while we ………………………… . (sing – dance)
4. Charl was speaking as the people ………………………… to him. (listen)
5. when my father ………………………… in Thailand, my mother and I were staying in London. (be)
6. They were smoking when the teacher ………………………… them. (see)
7. The monkey’s paw ………………………… while the man was holding it in his hand. (move)

EXERCISE 2

Change these sentences into negative.

1. The teacher was teaching when a student came into the class.
2. My son was watching television while I was reading.
3. She was ringing the bell while the pupils were playing.
4. You were waiting for a bus when the strange man stared a you.
5. The sun was shining while Roger sat under the tree.
6. The tiger was climbing up the ladder when the hunter tried to shoot it.

8. He was riding a bicycle as the car was coming through him.
9. Tom and Susan were dancing when the telephone rang.
10. Everybody was sleeping when the thief came into their house.

EXERISE 3

Change these sentences into simple question.

1. She was eating when you waited for her.
2. Wanna and Wittaya were talking when their friends studied.
3. He was running while the wind was blowing hard.
4. They were sinking into the river while we were calling them.
5. Prapai was going to school when she saw the happen.

1. The butterfly was flying as we were catching it.
2. Everybody was swimming while the police were looking for them.
3. The singers were singing as everybody was listening to them.
4. She was sewing while her child was sleeping.
5. Susan was sitting in the sun when her aunt saw her.

EXERCISE 4

Make questions from the sentences in exercise 3 as in the example.

Example  ;  The dog was barking when he came in.

=  What was the dog doing when he came in?

Make questions fro the underlined words in each sentence.

1. Yuphin was drinking some wine when the waitor gave her some food.
